Meet up with my ladies

Been quite long we didn't meet in group, I didn't attend some of the outing in the beginning of the year due to some reason. Finally we managed to did a last minute meet up! And finally a meet up with no hubbies around, sometimes they will bring hubby along. I'm those that doesn't like to bring my hubby along to girls meet up. haha well my hubby also don't like to tag along but I'll tag along with his boys gathering lol. 

At least we can openly have our girls talk finally! Anita came later and we almost finished most of the food we ordered. She was too busy feeding her boy so she didn't ate much too. I see her very stress so we didn't talk much about her boy. Didn't want to stress her further lah. Wonder if I'll behave like her when I have my kids. Hummm hopefully not. 

As we get to be more busy with our own life we don't really meet up that often. So I treasure every meet up, hope we will still continue to meet up and our friendship will never die. Just love these ladies. :) 

April happenings - Artbox

A event that many people have been looking forward to, around beginning of the year the media has been publishing it's news. Many people have been sharing in FB about the event and tagging friends that they have to go to this event. 

Oh well I'm one of them that was looking forward to it and wanted to go. But deep in my heart I know it's going to be crowded like shit. What's more the event 1st day is a public holiday some more. Lagi more crowded right? Knowing Singaporean being Kiasu all want to be the 1st one to see the event to share in their social media. Aiyo all chiong there on a 1st day lah! Then after that, all starts to complain in their social media the event sucks to the max. Oh well I really pity the event organiser, but got noise better than no noise lah. Be it good or bad, people will still come de. 

As a event organizer before I know the pain of organizing a new event. So I felt people's complain about the event was just too hash. Or I should say they over expected the event? People put Bangkok's standard into Singapore's. Come on lah Singapore price via Bangkok you want to compare sure or not? Lol Some of the vendor that was fly in here you can't expect them to sell the same price as Bangkok right? How they earn? You want that price fly over to Bangkok loh. Then people complain walkway too small too much people. As I mentioned before PH leh 1st day leh of cause crowded lah then again Bangkok's market walkway all also so small lah you didn't complain there? Seriously I felt people are asking too much. 

Above are just my personal thoughts to the event, I felt it has been quite nice to have such event in Singapore. Singapore is already quite boring, so we should be more encouraging to the events. I felt the set up is quite nicely done really. 

I went to the event in the 2nd weekend Friday afternoon. So less crowded as most people are at work and afternoon time is damn hot ah! Some of the store wasn't ready yet still setting up but never mind, I just wanted to be here to experience the event. I walked around the store see what they are selling and their pricing. Also saw the super long queue for the Instagram worthy drink, didn't queue for it because I know where got sell and no need to queue so long. hahaha So many store were selling Thai Milk tea, I basically see Thai Milk tea everywhere.

Spend a $6 for the "Ice" just for fun, took photo and then left the place within half hour. A super quick walk around as I really couldn't take the heat any more. haha Going there alone is also good too haha hubby didn't want to go there as he know he wouldn't buy anything and he wouldn't enjoy it. 

Overall I still feel it's a good event, just that we have over expected it as comparing with Bangkok. Of cause there are still some parts of it to improve on but I personally still till it is a nice event. Good try. Hoping to see more different events in SG. 

New Hobby - Amigurumi

April month I developed a new hobby, Amigurumi. So far I have done a few toy using the yarn I brought from Taobao. hohoho you wouldn't believe how much more yarn I purchased ever after that. 

I also went to the library to borrow two books. Only did one robot using one of the book, yet to start with the other book. I guess need to go back library to extend the book borrow date. 

So far my two cute little friend I have done! More to come!

One of the weekday Hubby suddenly decided to work from home, Lunch time hubby said there's a lot of weekday lunch special at waterway point. We went over to look for weekday lunch special and came across Uncle Leong Signatures offering one for one rice or noodles dish. Decide to give it a try. Didn't wait very long for our food, on a weekday lunch time not much people at the restaurant. Food was very yummy too. Might come back again for the lunch special. haha

Introduce by Sis, keep saying very famous and popular. She jio me for lunch that day, very near my house so gave it a try loh. Ok quite nice, there's not much food selection in Punggol we can't find good porridge one. Hubby did notice this porridge shop before but we didn't went in to try before because hubby notice like not much people. Actually is because it only open from 6.45am to 2pm daily only. Another great find in our neighborhood.

I told Hubby I wanna try this prawn noodle, so we went down during the Good Friday. Wasn't very crowded at the time we went as we went for early dinner. Soup base is very sweet, we order their special mee kia. Quite nice but I prefer the Sumo Big Prawn noodles more. hehe 

April exercise month

April have been a month that I exercise the most...haha couldn't even believe myself as well. I went jogging and swimming myself! Highest record was three times in a week. So not me right? Wake up early to go for jogging or swimming. 

Need to drop some weight this month, I also dropped some intake of rice. Nowadays our dinner rice I'll cut down the amount. Hubby also wanna reduce the intake of rice at night. Hopefully it will help us with reducing some of our fats! haha

越来越南走 ～ 河内 Day 4

Last day at Hanoi, we wake up and went out for Vietnam coffee. Hubby is super excited when he gets to know that Vietnam got egg coffee. He said he must get to try it. Ok loh. He did the research and bring me to a coffee shop near hotel. The shop is quite crowded, hubby said it's quite famous for tourist to come. We ordered 2 egg coffee, hubby was surprised that I wanted to try the egg coffee. Haha since we are here liao and everyone tried so I shall just give it a try too loh. 

After the breakfast coffee we went back hotel for a rest again before we go for our lunch. Hubby arranged another expensive lunch venue, A restaurant that service fusion food, quite high rated by tourist too. Of cause not to mention the price of that meal. But I'm really happy with the food and the restaurant. 

After lunch hubby arranged for us to go to a cafe for a leather making workshop. We called Uber to go to the cafe cause it's quite far away from hotel. The cafe is at level 1, the leather workshop is at Level 2. You can see their sample to see what you want to make or you can research first then let them see photo of what you want. The shop staff will help you to draw out the layout and measurement and teach you how and what to do. The wallet I wanted to make is very simple so I finished my work quite fast, hubby took longer time to finish his product. I even helped him to use his balance materials to do a clip for earphone. The biggest regret for me was to ask them to emboss my name on my wallet! Because they did it upside down! So my wallet became damn ugly. Haiz 

We Uber back to hotel after we finished our work and went out for dinner. Wanted to go for a drink after dinner, walk to the pub lane and just decide one pub and we went in to sit down. But too bad just when we started drinking hubby told me something is behind my chair. I was so scared so we decided to leave the pub with our beer. Our drinking session only last for a few minutes. hahaha 

Next day our flight back to SG is in the morning so nothing much, we just have our breakfast at airport and we come back to SG. 

I quite enjoyed the trip, very relaxing. I quite like the lifestyle in Hanoi very peaceful and lay back. Love the feeling of the evening stroll at the park area which we seldom do it in Singapore. Thank you Hubby to bring me oversea again. Love all his planning. 

越来越南走 ～ 河内 Day 3

Day 3 still on cruise at Ha long bay. There's Tai chi session at 6.30am, that's too early we decided we need a little more beauty sleep. We wake up at 7am for breakfast because we get to visit Vung Vieng village at 7.30am. Breakfast is buffet style, by the time we reach the hall most of the ang mo already start eating.... 

After breakfast visiting at Vung vieng village, we board on the rolling boat go around. Quite scary to step onto the boat, I scare I sea sick... heng never. 

After that we went back to our room to pack our luggage to check out. then we had our brunch at the cruise before we go back to land. Which is another 4hours car ride back to Hanoi city. 

We reach Hanoi city around 3.30pm check in new hotel for two nights.

Went tea break straight after that as I was hungry. Hubby bring me to eat waffle, didn't expect the waffle so small in the end eat liao as if never eat anything. 

As it's a Sunday, they closed a very busy road for weekend activities. I was so surprise to see many kids were playing games on the road. Some played 踢键子  there's also another group playing some stone game on the road too. Well you wouldn't see Singapore children will still played such games anymore all playing computer games on handphone. 

We walk round the busy street of Hanoi and brought tickets for the water puppet show at night.

I was having muscle pain after he Co cave climbing, many restaurant in Hanoi you need to climb up some staircase. Hubby don't want me to climb staircase anymore and I was very hungry so dinner was just burger king. hahaha There's no Mac donald at Hanoi else it will be Mac donald.... LOL 

We then went supermarket for shopping then went back hotel rest awhile before we come out again for walk walk and water puppet show. 

We also went to the weekend night market again and got myself some more stuff to bring home. That's the end of Day 3. :)
