Food Food Food

The Clueless Goat
189 Thomson Road
Singapore 307631
Closed on Monday

We went on a Saturday morning, quite crowded but was luck we were there earlier. We didn't wait long for our seats. Ordered the Scrambled eggs on toast and Cremini Melt to share with hubby. Was quite disappointed with my Cremini Melt, the mushroom with onions are too sweet. 1st mouth I felt sweet, the more I ate the more sick of it I felt. We ordered a mocha to share too and it was too sweet too! So sweet I thought I was drinking a hot chocolate. Just disappointed with food although they serve the food quite fast. You also felt the staff were like rushing customer away so that they can serve more people. We also notice they messed up the order of other customer but they did come to apologise. But overall I didn't quite like my experience there.

Went there in the evening for a early dinner. Too early not much customer there. Didn't wait very long for our food to come. We ordered the mixed tendon set, basically have everything in it and comes with a Chawanmushi and miso soup. hehe Food was good, nothing to complain at all. Portion just nice for a hungry me. Thumb up. Hubby and I likes it.

Army Open house 2017

Went to the event with hubby on last Saturday right after the Wan Qing Festival. Hoho two event on one day you can imagine how tired I was at the end of the day. Also my 1st time going to Army Open house.

Reach there around 3pm, at the entrance there's bag check.

When we reach the event the show has already started, we just stand at the corner to see the show for awhile before we really walk in.

Then we saw a lot of different vehicles parked on the road. You can go onto it to take photo. At first I wanted to queue for at least one to take photo but in the end I gave up. Realise it was going to rain soon. We just use our quickest speed walk along the place took a few photo and run. We didn't go for any exhibition or any other activities as it was raining we need to run out of the event at our quickest speed. hahaha  didn't have umbrella with us.

We left the event around 4pm and head home. Really eventful day.

Wan Qing Dumpling Festival 2017

Saw this event information from FB, so asked Hubby if he is interested in going. Since we got nothing planned on last weekend so we shall go see see look look.

Entrance

1st time to the event wonder if it happens every year, there's a few activities going on. Feel a little lost to what we should do when we reach there. Saw a few booth long queue, I know there's a dumpling hunt, took the brochure and pass it to hubby to go around find the answer. I know there's a bottle gourd calligraphy, which has the longest queue so I went to queue first while hubby go walk around. Heng I queue first as soon later staff stop people from queuing as it's too long.

Long queue

There's also dumpling making station, basically just let you get a hand of how to wrap the rice and tie up the dumpling. When I went to do nobody care or guide me, maybe they just too tired liao. I simply was left to don't know what to do. So anyhow wrap and tie and walk off to collect a few dumpling from them. I felt this booth is not planned well to really let you experience on dumpling making. Anyway many people like me just want the free dumpling nia... :P

Dumpling making booth

Hubby finish with the dumpling hunt and got a free gift. He took over my queue and I went around to take photo and walk walk the exhibition.

There's also Beijing Opera performance, we didn't stay for this only got to see their backview hahaha.

Once our bottle gourd calligraphy was done we left the place. Here's how our bottle gourd looks like! Queue for 1.5hours for it.... Zzzzz

It was quite tiring after that as all we did was queue..... haha nothing much about the event but a good experience.

End of May?

Time past so fast it's ending of May soon, usually I'll be super happy for the coming month of June. But wonder why this year I didn't have such excitement coming to me. 人老了吗?

Age is really catching and I have been thinking a lot lately. Thinking what have I achieved in my life so far and how and what my future will be. I watched a Kdrama lately called "Tomorrow with you", main lead actually is a time traveler who is able to travel to the future. I wonder if I have that skill how would my future be like?

Nobody is able to foresee how your future is, living well now is what we should do. That's what everyone will say, but don't you just sometimes get curious? May be I think too much.

Month of May is a little gloomy for me, I bury myself at home with my computer games. Didn't have any heart to do any of my hobbies, only manage to bring myself out for exercise sometime. Need a stronger mind to keep myself going. Path isn't as easy for me. Hoping the month of June be my lucky month. Ending my post hoping my rainbow will appear soon.

Food Food Food

One Man Coffee
1 Maju Avenue #B1-23/24
MyVillage @ Serangoon Garden
Singapore 556679

Told Hubby I want my all day breakfast, his friend have introduced him this One Man Coffee at Serangoon Garden. According to his friend it is even better than Lola Cafe. Ok so we went for our all day breakfast again! The cafe is quite small, located one not eye catching corner. Luckily it's not very crowded we still got our seats. Then we realise they have actually a bigger outlet at Thomas Road, but we come Serangoon is more convenient for us.

Food came quite fast, and it's as per what Hubby's friend mentioned nice. Price is ok too. Like.

Weekend exercise - Cycling with Obike

Hubby and me usually will try our very best to go for exercise at least once in the weekend. Last weekend we decided to go for cycling! It's been quite awhile since my last cycling. This is also our 1st time cycling with Obike, the bike sharing system has finally reach SG. There has been many bad review over the bike sharing system in SG, so we didn't sign in till now... Since there's so many promotion given by Obike compare with the other brands so we decided to sign up for Obike too.

We started in the evening, planning to cycle from home to Coney Island. But it was too tiring for me as a newbie. So in the end we ended our trip at Punggol East Container Park for drinks.

Our ending place.... Punggol East Container Park. Luckily we ended our trip here, as it soon start to rain after we finished our drinks. hahaha can't imagine if we are in the Coney Island....

Our bike journey record. Happy Weekend!

Hectic week

Past two weeks has been a hectic week for me, the very unlucky me gotten food poisoning. Seriously doesn't know what I have eaten to cause the food poisoning. Even after seeing the doctor it did not fully recover, so in the end I went back to Toa Payoh to see another doctor.

Finally today I felt better, so I went for running this morning. Felt great after the workout.

The morning view of Punggol waterway is always so nice....It's a nice weather to workout today!

Hoping a healthier me, hoping my days will be better, hoping my dream will come true.

Weekend Mac Ritchie Tree top walk

Ok this is yet another crazy thing that I have suggested. For a person who seldom exercise want to go Mac Ritchie Tree top.... Hubby keep asking if I am sure I want to do this and keep repeating it's 10km walk. hummmm I did reconsider for a few seconds but the more he ask the more I want to challenge myself. If it's walking speed wouldn't be that hard bah.

So to prove myself that I can do it, I said YES let's go! Hubby said we need to travel light, so told me that we can't carry too much things. No to my portable fan, no to my extra t-shirt, no to my powerbank, no to my snacks...... SAD!

We also jio LH to accompany us, his the only one that will do such things with us lah anyway. hahaha. We meet around 8am at Ang Mo Kio for Mac donald breakfast, must make sure I have enough food and energy as we will not have any snacks with us.

We reached the place at around 9am and started walking to the tree top. It took us around 1hour walk before we reach the tree top. I was quite surprise to see quite a lot of people at the place, some are in groups, some are couple with young children, some even carrying baby.... = =" There's even some ang mo running, guess they are doing some training. I find it hard to jog there as the path are uneven, if there's rain before hand, some place will be damn muddy.

Us before we start of our weekend long long walk...

Along the way you will also see monkey, do not feed them as they might get naughty and hurt you. But in general if you don't disturb them they will not come and disturb you.

There's a few stop where you can take your rest. Only one stop there's toilet and water point, once you see that stop you are almost near the tree top.

Us half way there....

You will also see a lot of signage that tells you ONE WAY ONLY, Do not turn back. hahaha

And once you reach the tree top it's really ONE WAY ONLY liao! No turn back! You also tend to get stuck in between because everyone wants to take a selfie! Of cause same for us!

Just when you thought ok done with the tree top since we are at the highest point from now it is down hill liao bah! Oh hell NO! There's a long long staircase that you need to climb up!

And after you go Up, you go down again! OMG I simply got to stop half way the staircase down because see too many yellow lines liao. Until I blur and if don't stop I scare I'll miss my steps and I'll roll down!

After the tree top, we went to the Jelutong Tower, yet more staircase up...

The view up there...

And I saw this butterfly at the bottom of the tower... super big

We completed the walk around 11.30am, using 2.5hrs to finish the walk! Feel super proud of myself to be able to complete the walk. And after the walk our rewarding lunch is our favourite....

Happy Tree Top Walk! Mission Completed!
