1st night stay over at new house

We actually wanted to stay over next weekend but I mentioned we need to do the "move in ceremony" so went online to search if there's a auspicious date. The only weekend date that is auspicious is Sat 19 Oct 2013, so very last minutes we decided to make a weekend stay over.

After work on Fri 18 Oct we went to purchase all the necessary stuff for the "move in ceremony". Found the list of stuff online and the meaning behind it. Wake up at 8.30am and went supermarket to purchase outstanding stuff and rush over to new house. It was really very rush and only manage to reach new house at 11am.

We open all doors and windows to allow the flow of energies and light up and turn on water pipes, gas and electrical appliances in order to declare the preparedness and perfect function of your new home. Put a kettle over the stove to boil.

Then I go into the kitchen with the five essentials to ensure a stable supply of food on the table. They are a bottle each of cooking oil, soy sauce and vinegar plus a packet of salt and sugar. Place fresh fruits comprising Oranges (for prosperity), Apples (for safety), Pineapple (for good fortune), Pomegranate (for opportunities) and Peaches (for good health). Couldn't find Pomegranate so we brought pomegranate juice. haha Also to place Prosperity Cakes （发糕） for good luck!

After which I cooked a simple meal with the water we first boiled. I cooked udon noodles with prawns & fish ball very simple yet nice!

After all the things are done we went out to Gain City to purchase iron, and had our dinner. We had a very rest & relax weekend at new house.

Today hubby's pocket has a big big hole, he arranged the storeroom shelve to be installed today. We also try to transport some of our stuff to new house, reach there early waited for awhile for the storeroom shelve to be here and installed.

After the storeroom shelve is installed, we came back Ubi to rest awhile before we go to Expo the IT fair by Courts. Hubby plan to purchase a 32" TV for Master bedroom and see if we can get a vacuum cleaner. Then we saw a great deal for LG TV! Hubby's eye got crazy over the deal as it's purchase a 47" 3D LED LG TV and get a free 32" LED TV! We planned to get at least a 46" TV but hubby wanted to buy it later due to budget constrain. But now is buy one big one free one small one....so we couldn't miss the deal so we gotten it too!

Dinner with Twins

Been very long didn't meet up with Twins, both of us is busy with work. At least we finally make time and had a dinner together! I am off on Friday 11 Oct so meet her for dinner at night. We went back to Porn's for dinner, nice Thai food and we enjoyed very much.

After dinner we walked over to Haji lane for some drinks, there has got some pub, blog shop, cafe, restaurant....a quite interesting place. We settled a cafe and chit chat the rest of the night.

It's always good to know how blessed you are when your friend will always give you the moral support and knowing how busy you are with your life they will never keep pester you to meet up during your busy period. And when you finally got time to meet up you will never fail to feel relax and enjoy every moment of the company. It's the friendship that even if you only meet once in a few months you still know they are the best friend of yours. 

Well I'm blessed to have many friends like that.... :)

The long waited item is finally delivered, the custom made sofa. Gotten our sofa from Hommage Lifestyle, got to know this place from my colleague. First time we went there we didn't make the decision to get the sofa from them, but after going to a few furniture show we decided to go back there for sofa. 

So this sofa at the showroom, quite like the design I did some change to the color skin and the size of the sofa to fit to our living room. I'm glad it turn out exactly how we wanted and very comfortable.

Celebration party!

After weeks of hard work, we decided to go out for dinner and chill out after one peak period. Everyone make time and we went Vivo for dinner, it's my favourite Chilli Crab! Yummy Yummy!

It's also Bryan's birthday the next day so we decided to celebrate his birthday for him. Brought a Hello Kitty cake for him! LOL

After dinner we went for drinking and enjoyed the rest of the night. It's been a long time we haven't go out after work and really enjoy food together. There will be new colleagues joining the department soon don't know if we will go out together again soon. But guess the next outing might be at my new place already....

Our kitchen is the point that is facing the sunset, so when it's the evening time the service yard will be damn hot. I know this when we selected the unit so that there's some sun to dry our cloths. But then we realise it will be hard for us to do cooking during that time too. So no choice we need to paste solar film for the window.

1st Oct 2013 Dinner & Dance

It's the annual thing, but this year's dinner & dance location is finally somewhere new! Resort world Ballroom! It's our first time holding the D&D there, well I guess it's only going to happen once in 20 years. This year many of the suppliers were invited to the D&D as well, programs of the night is kind of boring as compared to the past year.

Anyway, we just simply go there to enjoy the food and laughter looking at what the others preform on stage.

This year we also took a group photo by the instant print booth, which we don't usually do.

So much happenings so little time

October has been a busy month always, this year it's even worst than ever for me. Work is double the worst, I have worked so many years in the company and have never work so hard that I have clocked 53 hours of overtime. If ever these are converted to cash....wow I will be damn rich now. Sad to say I can only claim time off, so there are total of 6 days time off to claim. I guess I will just use it to do my packing & unpacking for moving house. 

Other than work, this 2 weeks I didn't do much for new house because my work already taken up most of my time. Hubby still doing research for stuff that we need to purchase while I focus on my work. There are so many things I want to blog about this few weeks of my life but I couldn't make time for it. Finally I can take my off day after working consistently 12 days without rest day and some days are working 12 hours full. I am just too tired and the rest is deadly needed. 

Well the super long weekend time can't be wasted, as much as I wish to blog I also need to prepare stuff for new house. Will hope to at least finish all my writing by this holiday as there will be more post for my new house!

Meanwhile this is just a small post to write down how I feel, I am not MIA, I just need some time to write the post....stay tune for more!
