Good Friday Long Weekend

Was actually sick for 3 days before the Good Friday so that makes my holiday even longer than others. Had painful mense cramp & gastric at the same time so make me no choice have to stay at home and rest. Wanted to return to work on Thur but the gastric is making me sick and hubby is busy with work can't buy dinner back for me that day so I was send back to Mom's place for the day. Mom cooked the 3 meals for me that day, heng I was there as I can't eat much stuff. Food was all very simple and little but just good enough for me. Hubby pick me home only at 11pm and that was my sick leave...

Good Friday since I have some energy back we went out to have some shopping and eating at Bugis. But only after awhile I got really tired and wants to go home. Guess I wasn't fully recovered yet. 

Saturday we didn't do much just spring cleaning at home then Sis called us out for dinner. We met at MBS with everyone, the kids were playing skating. After which we had dinner at the food court and then head for Ice Cream. 

The little naughty girl running around, want to play hide & seek with mom...she still stick to mom very much whenever she see mom. Which is a warm hearted little moment I see everytime.

That was pretty much my long weekend, nothing special didn't go out much as I wasn't really feeling well this week. Next weekend will have more things to do as we need to meet up more IDs to compare prices. Stay tune...

It's actually nothing really special but boss treated us lunch that day, every year he will treat everyone one time only. haha Usually he will do it after the New Year but this year kind of delayed as a lot of us was taking leave if not he is having business trip.

Well we never went any place expensive because we need it to be halal food, that left us with not much choice. So we went Swensen at Ion orchard...

Actually I find that there's a lot of problem with the current office politics, and it's making people feeling more and more unhappy working here. There is a promotion every year in the dept, this year I foresee 2 colleagues will be promoted due to the manager who will fight for it. It's not that I am not happy with the colleagues being promoted and not me. But I know the manager has somehow did something to over ride the decision by our division manager.

Which make it quite unfair to the other colleagues, and furthermore the reason why the manager wanted to fight for the promotion is because the 2 colleagues are planning to leave so she wants to hold them back. Which again this has made some noise by other colleagues saying "if I am the management why would I want to promote someone who already have the plan to leave and not promote someone who wants to work here longer?" Well, the promotion somehow has created quite a lot of topic in office and disappoint quite a few person. Why can't this people just do their job and don't play this kind of dirty tricks?

Anyway I think there will be more people leaving this dept again.....Hope I will be wrong as I don't wish to be working like hell too! Especially this year!

Our new house updates

Our new house area is almost completed, 1st batch of people already taking their keys. Neighbors start to visit the place more often and start posting the photos on the FB group. It's getting more excited to see the photos as you can feel that the flat is coming! We also started calling ID to meet up, I have been looking at magazines to get the ideas for designs.

Everything looks nice hopefully we can get our unit soon. It's stated that our PCD is end June, I wish the keys can be given to me on my birthday! haha 

Meeting ID

Finally make the appointment today with the 2 ID that hubby's boss introduced. At first only arranged 1 ID but Hubby try his luck to call the 2nd one and met up with them after the 1st ID appointment. 

Our 1st time, not sure what should we do but I think it should be the same as how I brief my contractor at work bah.... I have only the basic idea how I want our new house to look but many details I did not consider. Well Hubby everything also "anything" leaving me to be the main person to look for design. At 1st I have a design I wanted but in the end I decided to change back to the "normal" reason being the main point of a comfortable house is still simplicity. Furthermore I'll still be staying with Mother-in-law which I can't make the house too over. But she's not going to like the color tones I am choosing.... ;P Lot's of grey & black opps....

Learn some stuff when talking to the ID and realize I really don't know a lot of stuff about the reno. Need to really ask around which are better before I make any decision. The overall experience with the 2 ID is still quite comfortable, they did not hard sell too many fancy stuff.

Korean BBQ!

Hubby arranged dinner with Muji & LH, purpose is to have Korean BBQ! Ever since the last round we had Korean BBQ with LH and kana a local laughing at us saying the way we eating Korean BBQ is not correct. So Hubby wanted to eat Korean BBQ with Muji & wife as Muji's wife is a Korean. 1st time going out with Muji's wife, doesn't know her well and not sure if there's topic for us. Knowing her wife can't speak English very well, I am kind of worry it's going to be kind of boring. Well heng we got watch Running Man wor so there's still a little topic with her! haha....

Went to the Korean BBQ restaurant located at Novena, our 1st time visiting there lots of students went there for dinner after their church session. It's a buffet dinner quite worth it and lots of meat, well Korean BBQ is really all about meat. All thanks to Muji's wife, she does all the cooking for us and we had the real taste of how the Korean BBQ is.

Hubby's Birthday Celebration

We both took leave to plan a day out for celebrating Hubby's Birthday. Kick off the day with a brunch at Hatched located at Holland V. My 1st visit to Hatched, Hubby has been there before but he don't mind going again.

After the brunch we then proceed to Sentosa to visit the S.E.A. Aquarium and spend a very meaningful day.

After the visiting we went for dinner at Sky Loft, we brought the coupon. Just have our simple dinner then we head home liao. It's a very simple day out to enjoy ourselves. Happy Day!

Food for weekend

Weekend food search with Hubby, we finally went Fu Lin Tou Fu Yuen. Saw a friend who went there and looks interesting so we wanted to go there for quite some time but just didn't make the move. Food is nice but I find it a little over priced especially we are the fan of Ang Pang You Tou Fu. The sauce they use is very yummy and match the noodles very well. Like!
