Our Wedding 1st Anniversary ~ 18 Feb 2013
Time really flies, so fast it has been 1 year after our wedding dinner. Till now hubby & me can still remember what has happened on our wedding day. We both took leave that day and planned to go for our lunch at Wild Honey. We waited for a while for our seats, didn't expect it will still be so crowded on a Monday.

On this day there were a surprise for the 2 of us, Hubby's colleague who have helped us in shooting on our wedding day morning session done a video for us. We were quite shock that he actually still remember today was our anniversay and posted the video on youtube. He used 1 year to produce the video and it must be difficult for him as we were speaking in Chinese. We only get to see the video that day, it bring back all the memories that we had for that day. It was so touching and I love the video very much.

初七人日celebration
It's the 7th day of CNY, we had a gathering at Carol's new house. 1st time to her new flat, looks very nice!
We all have a wonderful time at her place, it was a great gathering with lots of food & fun. Next year CNY gathering might be at our new flat at punggol if it is all ready...haha

It's Valentine's Day again! As a married couple how we celebrate our Valentin's Day? Well we doesn't want anything expensive to be arranged as we are on a tied budget. So we kept it simple, and I am half day off so I decided to cook dinner for hubby at home.
We just have a simple dinner at home and brought each other a gift..... that's all for our simple valentine's day as a married couple.

2nd day of CNY
2nd Day of CNY is the same as last year, lunch time is at Toa Payoh. Most of our relative will come for lunch session, this year I am staying at UBI already so I went over to Toa Payoh every early that day. Brought Mom & brother breakfast then helped Mom to prepare for the lunch session.
After lunch then hubby & me will go over to hubby's relative house for visiting. This year we also starting issue ang bao! Because it's our first time and hubby's relative side have a lot of kids too we are kind of slow... haha
We also have the lohei at hubby's relative side too....it's really a big group and have to have 2 tables.

1st Day of CNY
This year 1st Day of CNY we were at Ubi home and Mother-in-law is at genting so lunch we need to settle ourselves. So I decided to cook our lunch but as we need to meet Mami & Sis for movie so I don't have a lot of time to good a massive lunch. So I make a more simple lunch, and inspired by my colleague I decided to cook 鲍鱼面 ! She always have it with maggi mee but I use another kind of noodles. 1st time to do this and I'm excited!

After the lunch we rush to Jurong again to meet Mami & sis for movie, this year we watched Journey to the West. I though it's a comedy show but the show seems to be pretty scary...not suitable for kids. Don't really like it.
After movie went back to Mami's place for dinner then we head home liao. The simple and usual CNY Day 1.
Chinese New Year Eve
There's also something different this Chinese New Year Eve, as there's a change of job scope I am require to report to work on that day even though it's a weekend. Well don't wish to talk about my job as it's always sucks to the max.
But the stuff still manage to be completed by 5.30pm....

Another different thing is that this year eve, we are eating reunion dinner at Mami's new house at Jurong. Which means I have to travel all the way from Orchard to Jurong after work. Rush like mad and manage to hop onto 143 right after my work. It was a 1hr bus journey and it pass by China Town before I fall asleep on the bus I manage to take photo...haha rainy CNY eve...

Manage to reach home at 7pm and quickly rush for a quick shower while my sisters & mami prepare the dinner. Our annual reunion dinner...steamboat.

After dinner we watch TV and wait for Eugene to pick us up, as Eugene need to go back home I also have to go up with Sis & Eugene. So I also got to eat the Shark fins they always eat on the eve. :p yummy yummy. A lot of new things happened this year eve!
2nd Reunion Dinner
This year reunion dinner with 2nd Aunt is fixed on Fri 8 Feb, this year Sis decided to eat outside. Guess the kids & Joshua enjoyed more so I'm fine with it but I prefer home cooked steamboat. haha. Meet at Star Vista after work, been a long time never see the kids all grown up liao.

Preparation for the Chinese New Year!
Just before CNY there's always a lot of stuff to prepare, like spring cleaning is a must and purchasing all the necessary goodies too. But this year thanks to a friend (who is a monk), I offered flowers and light to the Buddha this chinese new year. I hope by doing so this year I'll be smooth in everything, especially hoping for good health.

Other than that getting my nails done is also a must, so appointment is made with Sis and before my appointment I also check out what's my lucky color. So got Sis to color it gold and I love it!

Quote for today NO!
I decided to learn to say NO! Towards ppl I dislike in the heart it's time to show it out. I do not wish to give face to ppl just becos we are working in the same dept. So if things happened after working hours of cos I wouldn't entertain! It's my weekend I decide how I want to spend & who to spend with. What's the point to go to that gathering and do nothing meaningful and force myself to act thankful for the arrangements.
Others think since she already willing to ask & invite me why don't I just give face and go. But I do not wish to act anymore it's the final answer true from my heart that I don't wish to go. So please respect my decision, say I 小气 whatever. It's my decision and I'm happy with it!

1st CNY to issue ang bao
Our very 1st year of CNY to issue ang bao. 1st time we need to prepare so many ang bao! Pocket one big hole liao loh haha but anyway the photo u see is just a small part of ang bao there's actually more! Anyway Happy Chinese New Year to those who still can collect ang bao! Hee I wish I can still get ang bao too haha

1st reunion dinner
This year Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner will have some difference, 1st reunion dinner is with mother-in-law. This year she decided to go Genting during Chinese New Year, so the dinner is kinda arranged last minutes and Sister-in-law is unable to join. So only got hubby, me & mother-in-law, since its a last minutes arranged dinner mother-in-law say we just went downstairs coffee shop to eat our simple dinner.

Next reunion dinner will be with my 2nd Aunt and family, Jie decided to go out eat also yet to know where we will be heading. Will meet the kids this coming Friday for dinner, so again it's not the usual reunion dinner at home for steamboat. So the only steamboat session will be at mom's place on the eve of CNY.
This CNY seems like everyone is so busy except me....hahaha
